Well I have the M version of the 28mm f3.5 and it's a cracker - now the lens I leave on the camera as for normal stuff it's ideal. Sharp and compact. I'm led to believe that the K version is even better, at least it seems pretty sought after.

I'm actually quite glad the snow has melted immediately here. I have flu and my Land Rover clutch has had it, so neither party is in a state to make use of snow!

Yep, I thought it was sick the way they were already on about "Police" "deciding whether it should have taken place". That coach driver will have done training that a BBC announcer would be petrified by, if they thought it wasn't safe they would not have made the journey. I remember in my school days the decision to shut came from the bus company, who'd phone the school and say that they weren't happy (or that things looked bad and they wanted to send the buses now)!

It was a simple accident with a tragic result. Don't they feel the driver has enough to deal with at the moment without the media hinting that he/she wasn't up to scratch?

I've heard of them, but they don't seem to be 100% successful?

TBH if I'm using film I want to use a mechanical camera I think, it just adds to the experience. My last film camera before buying the K-m was a P30t, now I plan to use a KM and MX. The film is an excuse to use superbly-engineered machinery that's incredibly nice to handle.

To be fair, I think that's what green mode has always been for. I know on my K-m it locks everything in auto, so you could safely let granny take photos with it.

Mine's in the SFX, mostly as due to the camera not leaving the film leader out I can't use it to shoot black and white. My Rondinax tank needs the film leader out (easy to do with manual rewind) so you can load it into the tank.

I think "Prinz" in general was used by Dixons - I know we've got a couple of pairs of binoculars about with that brand name on, so I'd guess they just adjusted the name to the product.

The binoculars were good, until Dad decided to take them apart with the inevitable misalignment upon reassembly. As they now make your brain hurt I tend to use the bright yellow Aldi "sailing" pair. They float too!

Here's a sample image from my last roll (just scanned, no other treatment):

A pretty horrible photo (think that's a mix of the cheap 28-70mm I had on my P30t at the time and my only bothering to learn things like depth of field since going digital and taking it more seriously) but the colours have a pleasing wistful look to me.

Edit, should perhaps add that I took this about ten years ago!

I think so - I know Nikon do something similar but not all of their bodies or lenses support both, so you can end up with a new lens on a new camera with no AF.

Weirdly, I'm led to believe that this afflicts their base model DSLRs and their cheapest 50mm. So that'd be the lens your customers are likely to want to buy next (after the kit zoom and a telephoto) but that won't work fully with their camera...

Used it plenty of times in the past, was happy with the results. The last couple of rolls were about two years out of date by the time they were processed and still came out ok!

I have three fresh rolls of the stuff awaiting use this summer, one loaded in my SFX.
