I have never found a touch screen that could replace a proper keyboard and mouse, on any product. I see no reason why Apple will be any different.

I still can't see Pentax bothering with FF. The market is already saturated, they won't tempt the pro buyers away from the CaNikSon triad and it would cost a fortune to develop.

I strongly suspect that they have instead decided to work on the 645D with a view to offering a medium format digital system at a very competitive price (compared to existing MF gear). I've yet to see actual prices but I understand that they're aiming for it to be tempting to people who might otherwise buy a FF DSLR?

It is good for playing with macro, and there are some brilliant Youtube videos of Eddie Izzard sketches acted out with Lego and stop-motion animation.

Compared to the new iphone I suppose it isn't much of a flop...

I still think it's overpriced for what you get, and the lack of a keyboard/mouse would put me off along with the fact that Apple seem to want to control what you do with items that you've paid for. I have a car PC with a touch screen but keep a mini cordless keyboard with joystick mouse handy as touch screens just don't work for anything more than opening a program and maybe selecting a few options. You can't, for example, use a touch screen to set up a Memory Map route and name waypoints on it!

Thing is, if he charges little enough for his services then he'll always find ready customers. I've heard of one locally who does weddings for £50, the resulting images are reportedly worse than the ones I was producing when I was still in green mode but the customers apparently don't know any better, and are happy.

I have photographed shows before now with no flash, just my 120mm f2.8 from the balcony and a fairly high ISO. The results were very popular with the cast, which to me was all that mattered.

I'd be worried about the stresses on the plastic lens tail cap - remember that they're designed to support their own weight, not that of a camera body or a lens (depending on which part has the tripod mount)!

Make sure your joints are solid, as it'd be a really silly way to break a camera or lens.

£2 is probably fair - I wouldn't pay the £60 I have seen asked for them BIN!

If a 50mm f2 turns up then you have a bargain, it's a very decent performer considering it was supposed to be the cheap kit lens.

That's why I use the 28mm. With the crop factor it works out at about 42mm, in other words slightly wider than the famous 43mm Ltd which has the supposedly "correct" focal length.

I recall reading that some of the DA lenses are full frame, the 40mm is obviously one but I can't remember the others.

Obviously you need to use it on a body with the auto contacts, otherwise the aperture won't close down. If you don't have body-controlled aperture (such as on a Super A or SFX) then you could use shutter priority mode to force it to stop down to a desired aperture.

They do work well with a small lens don't they? I can't quite run to the 35mm prime but I do use the F 35-70mm (or the M 28mm f3.5) with my K-m for similar dimensions.
