I've ended up knee-deep in those mugs. Blame going to a few 4x4 events where everyone ran out of mugs (much tea was consumed), after which I bought a handful of cheap ones from Tesco.

And the Police wonder why they're held in low regard in some areas...

It always seems to be the Met in these cases, and from what I read elsewhere they seem to be the most politicised force. The last government was intent on turning the Police into a means of controlling the populace rather than keeping the peace, and the Met seems to have been the worst affected. Most serving officers don't like it either and would like to get back to an impartial Police protecting the law-abiding public from genuine criminals.

Seems to be 50:50 at the moment between "Yes they are" and "Advertising plays a part" with "Fixed" trailing 3rd. Not exactly a ringing endorsement...

What you have is recognised as a bit of an oddball - it's badged Auto Takumar but works like a Super Takumar. Not sure about that behaviour though, I've never had that lens or body. There is some research into problems with the lens here which might help.

Got my Bronica...

Frantically trying to memorise Sunny 16 and comparing what I think is right with what my K-m's meter thinks is right. Amazingly I'm usually within a stop or so depending on subject. Given how tolerant Ilford HP5 is I think I'll get away with it - had an ME Super which overexposed by two stops until I cleaned the ISO dial contacts and the test roll was still usable!

I never did Strata Florida but I've seen images and footage of that and that's no mean feet so fair play to the GV driver, lots if experience or didn't know what he was letting himself in for? Was Wizard behind the wheel
Oh he knew what was coming up, he's a qualified off-road driving instructor. Not sure his wife knew what was involved!

Strata is currently not too bad providing you don't attempt the bombhole, there were a few clunks from rocks in the bottom of puddles but nothing major.

We had a 2 litre petrol Grand Vitara. Black, long wheel base, tinted windows and chrome plated alloys. It was alright, I liked it but it was at it's best when it snowed real heavy and I 'forgot' to engage 4wd so it was rear wheel drive! Everytime I came to a corner/roundabout and dabbed the gas it would be soooo tail happy!! It was great!
This was a 5 door Grand Vitara, still on road tyres. It completed Strata Florida in convoy with assorted lifted Discos and mine (standard height and mud tyres) bringing up the rear. The expressions of the group coming the other way were priceless!

I'm guessing the weekend involved ice and driving sideways...?

I spent a chunk of Saturday in a mud hole and a chunk of Sunday watching someone take a Suzuki Grand Vitara with no modifications whatsoever over one of the most revered byways in the UK. It came out of the other end with all components still attached and apparently drove home perfectly!

Mice in a house are vermin. They dribble urine continuously and leave droppings wherever they go, and will contaminate any surface they come in contact with. There is never just one mouse in a house.
A good trap will kill them swiftly and humanely - much better than poison for the job, which is a slow painful death, and puts the lives of your own and neighbours pets at risk too.
Too true. We get mice pretty much every year when the temperature drops and place traps in strategic locations to deal with them. From experience:

"Humane" live capture traps aren't. The two mice we caught and released with them looked absolutely petrified and had covered the inside of the trap with condensation. A quick, relatively painless exit to Mousehalla is definitely preferable!

Mice love raisins, which don't rot if left on the trap for a month or more before a mouse wanders past.

The 1W is also a good fit for anyone with the Samyang 85mm - I bought one last week for just that purpose.

I just wish they did a few in between sizes - a slightly longer version of the 1N so I could fit the M 28mm and M 135mm in for example. It'd only need to be slightly longer, at the moment a 28mm and 50mm will fit but not the 135mm and anything else.
