TBO, I do not understand why you posted this on someone else's sales thread if you are not even interested in the lens?
IIRC a long time ago (~ 2years) it was possible to buy it for about 700 from various sources. Then it went up to being near 1k at most shops.

In the past they have clearly marked some lenses as "UK sourced stock", this one isn't marked in that way. So may or may not be...
An email/phonecall or visit might determine that...

I've seen it new from a shop for £699, so I suspect my offer would be a bit too low... Then theres convincing myself (LBA?) /

Might be awhile yet before I do
I guess part of it is the wondering what one of the FA 31/43/77 and the DA* etc .. might do with the K-5iis... unleash even more potential?
The FA 35mm f2 is pretty sharp.. but perhaps [one of] those will take it to the next level?

I had heard of these Raspberry Pi and it does sound like and interesting option. However you would need a display of some sort to check that the files had transferred.
The copy script would run automatically on boot using /etc/init.d/

Haven't had the time to do it yet though.

but for someone who doesn't intend to install that many apps they may find most of the ones they need are on Amazon and a remaining few they then side load
worth thinking about
there's also a reasonable VFM one going on Ebuyer
