Yes, my Pentax M 15mm f3.5 was enormous fun on the ME Super. If the Samyang is half decent I'll be getting one.

The brand is developing a good reputation - its latest 14mm & 85mm offerings have been well rated. Apart from excellent resolution the build is quality with big solid focus rings and the advantage of an 'A' setting for AE control on Pentax.

10mm? For me that may be a bit wide for comfort - I wouldn't want to invest in a lens purely for novelty effects. But if the view is not too distorted and there's high IQ right to the edges it could be a good addition.

If its good / not distorted, it might make a decent night sky lens

I have the 8mm Fisheye and love it, was considering the 16mm f/2 but I really like the compact nature of my DA 15mm Ltd. The 10mm does look interesting though.

You can "defish" fisheyes you know. And really photography as art not an exact physical science so what's the problem with a bit of fun now and again?

Also don't forget fisheyes are used for creating pano shots.

This was done with my DA 10-17 at 10mm .....

You're a landscape person Nigel, fish eyes are great for landscapes. You have the choice of the fish distorted effect or you can defish them.

There isn't much distortion at 10mm with the 10-20mm Siggy.

Looking good there - I guess the images have been corrected, but on the landscapes there's no significant distortion effects noticeable. The video suggests the build and quality is equal or better to the 14mm, so its looks like a great new choice for us ..... the best thing of course is the 'Pentax K' in the list of available mounts.
