Sigma150-500 DG OS HSM version purchased from SRS Feb last year. This lens is in excellent condition (see sample images in my portfolio), although there is some slight signs of wear around the mount, It has had a UV filter on from day one which I will leave on and it comes boxed with case, strap both end caps and all paperwork.

I`m asking £420 +pp (shipping UK only).

Sigma 10-20 F4-5.6 EX DC. Basically as new only used a couple of times, this lens also has had a UV filter fitted from new and purchased from SRS twelve months ago.

I`m asking £250 +pp for this lens.

Chris, have you tried the iis with your Sigma 100-300 f4 attached and if you have was there a big difference in af speed?
Comparing my lenses on the mkii to mki there is none if very little difference in af speed, by af speed i mean the time it takes for the lens to go from near to infinity.

Hi Cliff, not yet, but I'll have a go later this afternoon
Hi Cliff, tried the 100-300 F4 this afternoon, after 5pm so pretty dark, a local street lamp 15m away from the subject, drk bush next to some snow and another attempt aimed at a car bonnet, the K5 11s got " lock " very quickly, the K5 hunted and struggled. HTH

Cheers

Chris
I think both these replies answer my question nicely, It seems although there is no change in Af speed from minimum focus to maximum focus (travel) but there is quite a big improvement in low light accuracy which is good news especially when using the Sigma 150-500.

I don't know whether this would be enough for me to justify an eight hundred pound upgrade though and still leaves the problem of lack of glass especially in the 300mm range!.

Thanks everyone for taking the trouble to check this out, much appreciated.

Whilst I cannot speak for the af side of things the build and handling of the K5 is up there with the canon 7D and 5D - nice that the K5 is a bit smaller

Stuey, I cant complain about the image quality of the K5 its top notch as is the build quality, the AF speed however is a different story!.
