Why does it matter if it's the seller or the buyer who pays the fee!!

Dead right Sam, I am in Sydney and it's been rather tame, A few very hot days and a few wet ones, But nothing like nth in Queensland and sth in Victoria, it was the same last last year.

It goes without saying, you simply don't allow payment by Paypal or Bank deposit for that matter, if it's a pickup item, CASH ONLY, Paypal require proof of delivery, there is no proof of delivery for pickup, so if the buyer does pay by these means he can then turn around and say he didn't recieve it and will win his case every time,

So many people get caught out this way, you need to read and then re-read all of Ebays and Paypals terms and conditions, better still go into the members forum and read some of the horror stories in there.

E-Bay and paypal can be a rewarding experience but you must know how it all works first and how the scammers are able too circumvent the rules.

Quite right John, There is always going to be things like this crop up, but if Pentax are skimping on QC then that bothers me, I say this because (call me paranoid if you like) I was reading that cameras were being shipped with zero on the shutter count (mine included) where on previous models the shutter count was over 100, so does that indicate they are no longer checking them before shipping or are they reseting the counters?? or maybe just inspecting a select few off the production line.

It's the same every year, you get these sicko firebugs lighting fires and so many of them are members of the volunteer fire service, it defies belief how people can do such a thing.

It's been another summer of misfortune, we can't seem to catch a break at the moment, if it's not drought, it's floods and if you are lucky enough to avoid them, the bushfires will get you.

That's all well and good but it amazes me that it wasn't picked up before they were shipped, it just makes you wonder about there quality control dept.

I would have liked too know how the problem originated, just out of curiosity.

I purchased a lens hood from that seller and didn't recieve anything, I had too resort to a paypal claim to get my money back, He will go too any extreme to avoid refunding, like sending paypal, fake tracking numbers, and using stalling tactics so the 45 day claim limit expires.

I was fishing around in my attic a few years ago and found an old Sydney Newspaper, Daily Telegraph Dec 10 1965, while having a browse through it I found the weekly "Photo Page" It had an advert for a Spotmatic, Describing it as the new concept in photographic design. Selling for the grand sum of £105, We changed over to decimal currency in 1966.

What is strange is my house was built in 1980 so I don't know where the newspaper came from or who put it there.
