Lightweight and the siggy 50-500 don't belong in the same sentence, It's not called a bigma for nothing. The 8-16 good as it is isn't a small lens either. The answers all depend on budget. You'll find plenty of fans for the Penrax 17-70 as a landscape lens, for the longer end 50-300 would be two lenses on a budget meeting the lightweight criteria.

Hello Jade a variable ND filter for your lens would have helped you out. Once you've got the lowest ISO the smallest aperture the only other thing to do to extend the exposure time is to reduce the light into the lens with a ND filter would do that without adjusting the colours you're trying to capture.

I find that my DA*16-50 is on the camera most of the time and is covering these lengths.

Pentax ist DL2 with Kit 18-55mm lens, body, lens and box only, can't lay my hands on the accessories or manual, which I've not required, £90.

I've just upgraded my sons camera to K-x, so this is no longer required.

I love what you've done with the eagle, but for me the Bokeh is too destracting in these shots, I'm looking for something creamier. Technical limitations of the Q, adaptor and lens combination perhaps?
