"I think the Hadley (billingham) offer more protection for gear as a 'city-walkaround' than the Domke's...

Can you confirm this chunky?"

Yes I most certainly can. The Domke is a superb piece of kit especially the F2 Rugged Wear version (waxed cotton) but as they arrive straight out of the box the Billingham Hadley has a lot more protection going for it and makes a superb city walk around bag. I regularly use mine as a sort of messenger bag.
The Domke F2 however can be improved with an aftermarket insert that is far better than the one supplied by Domke. I don't know if they are available in the UK as I obtained mine in of all places North Korea for about £4.00
My good wife has recently binned it as it was completely worn out after only 12 years use.
Things just don't last these days!

I am a lifelong fan of either Billingham or Domke.
Last Billingham bag was used regularly for 27 years.
I'd go for a Billingham Hadley Pro.
Yes I know they are very expensive, but they are exceptionally good.

Truly terrific images.
The tree creeper and the Fox ones are exceptional. Very envious.

Some nice shots here. Especially no 4.
If anyone of you want to photograph goats we have about forty feral goats hanging around the Glenshiel/ Inverinate area on the A87.
They are a real menace. They jump out into the road, and tourists stop in the middle of the road anywhere they see them oblivious to the danger they are causing to photograph the damn things.

I have used an LX and indeed there is one here.
They are so capable that a friend of mine who is an FRPS still uses one.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
Nice to see another member from the highlands and islands.
I was beginning to feel quite lonely.
