As Bill says the manuals for Pentax DSLRs, I find, are pretty good. However, there are also plenty of useful websites out there... one of them is here:

Hope that helps

A very good link, thanks Mat.

SRS Customer Service.

Yesterday Wednesday 31st , I received my new K5 from “SRS” there was however two small items missing.

A phone call to “SRS” was met with a instant courteous, apology without question, and assurance that the items would be put in the post.

Today Thursday 1st, I received these items by, Royal mail guaranteed special delivery.

In my book, that is customer service which is unbeatable.

Thank you “SRS”.

Hi Chris.

Great shots, as others have said, background motion blur just right.

I bet you found it much more rewarding, on the dangerous side of the fence.
Takes me back many years, I used to spend a lot of time at the local motor clubs, autocross and sprint events with my trusty
Spotmatic II.
After giving the club a number of images, I was invited to photograph from the in field, at their future events (liability waver signed). Bargain, free club membership, free entry to events, in exchange for a few images. Those were the days.

Take care.

Hi.

My house contents covers me for loss, damage or theft, even from a car. Without looking I think it is up to £2000.00 for any one item. This is standard at no extra cost.
(RIAS) insurance, you do have to be over 50 years old though, so it's, old gits insurance.

Take care.

Have just tried to get a K5 from SRS, they sold out yesterday.
Given the issues early bodies had I am going to wait until srs get new stock, hopefully in the next few days.
A bit like a young child waiting for Christmass now.

Hi Dave.

Pleased to say, received mine from “SRS” yesterday, on time as advised, (good customer service), very comfortable camera to grip/hold, charged the battery. Next step, set up the date/time, two hours later after a lot of bad language, that job was done I think, it will now stay on British summer time, just like my car clock. As I have a very low patience threshold, when dealing with such things.

If I pluck up the nerve later on today, I am going to try and look up some more settings on the K5.
My K10d stays on, iso200, aperture priority. Hoping the K5 will be easier, to change settings, but it does come with a nice pocket size, operators manual, so I will be able to carry that with me.

Hope you don’t have to wait to long for yours, just a thought, have you ordered a spare battery.

I forgot to order a spare battery for mine, so when it needs charging, I hope the date/time or other settings are not lost, with the battery out of the camera for a few hours, with the K10, I have a spare battery, so just a quick one out, the other in, without loosing any settings.

Take care.
