My 55-300mm DA on my KR seems more responsive.
...Any ideas?

This lens is brand new, it's only come out of the box for the pics at the beginning of the thread.
Please, someone buy it quick - I'm starting to feel tempted to keep it

Not so sure about the pitying looks. Interested, confused, perplexed, perhaps.
A few years back, when the K10D was newish, we were talking, and he was very complimentary about it, seemed to know a fair bit about it.
So not all Canon and Nikon users look down their noses at Pentax.
As for better lenses, better selection, perhaps. If what you need is what Pentax hasn't got, then it's not hard to see how that will be perceived as other brands being better. Happily this has all been getting less likely in recent years.

Under News.
Not at PentaxImaging yet it seems.
Very interesting that they've put out a new firmware for the K-7. Is this the first time they've done it for a discontinued camera?
More evidence of the change to Ricoh being a positive move.

Either end of a Jeppesen Fuel Tester. You're bound to have that on you!

Generally, it's brilliant, but several times now, immediately after uploading a bunch of pics, I lose my network connection.
Bizarrely, the only thing affected is the local computer running the Eye-Fi software, which is connected to the router with ethernet. The wireless network still functions perfectly (including connecting to the internet), but the only solution I've found is to reboot the router.
Ipconfig doesn't show anything untoward, but I can't see any network device beyond the local computer running the Eye-Fi software. Rebooting the computer makes no difference, it has to be the router.
Any ideas? I have the latest version of everything Eye-Fi.

The trick is to have the exposure long enough to get some prop blur, while not ending up with camera shake.
Subjectively, the OS in the lens seems a little better than the SR in the body for these. Not enough of a sample to be sure yet though.

To tell the truth, I am worried I do something wrong and the camera doesn't work at all anymore.
