They should have got someone who can pronounce some of the technical terms.
'auto-focus' 'moiré' 'aliasing'
Seriously ..
I hope the camera itself is better than that great big fat piece of marketing BS. 'Designed to be the highest performing of all the K-Series cameras.' No s**t, Sherlock!

And as Chris A says, maybe they just ran out of room?
If it's as rubbish in the K-3 as it is in the K-5, you all better duck, since my toys will be emerging from my pram at warp factor 8.
How's the level in the K5-II by the way?

It'll be one year more advanced than the current Toshiba, so there is a bit of hope to steal a march on caNikon at least for short time.
I haven't researched it to any depth, but it's not hard to find people that think that it's worse than the D7000 in this respect.

Pleased about the Sensor being confirmed as a Sony and not the Toshiba
Edit: disregard, found it now.

My view would be that you'd be better off getting used to your Canon 650D and using that, than switching brands yet again.
There's no such thing as a bad camera these days, and unless you have very specific requirements, and are confident evaluating the differences between features and brands, you'll achieve more by sticking with one camera and getting the hang of it.
Stick with what you've got, and find a nice friendly Canon forum to help you get the most out of your kit.
Best of luck.

Interesting poll running on the US forum.. asking what excites people about the K-3.
... of 75 voters, 65 have voted for the new AF system, which of the new features is by far the most popular.
I bought the Canon 50D and 100-400mm (now replaced by the 7D) ... it's a shame that a 5 year old Canon camera has far superior tracking to the K-5II but there is no way I could do THIS on the Pentax.
Pretty good. Closest I've had to that would be these from last year at Farnborough, which aren't quite as crisp I'd have to say, and not head on either. Can't remember if I posted them at the time, apols if so.

Nothing head on like your Tornado.
These guys were going pretty fast, but along the runway...

And there were so many that didn't make the cut, it was very depressing.

Hey, don't shoot the messenger bud!
Worth a post for sure, but videos like that just bring out the worst in me. That would have cost them at least a five figure sum to produce, and all it needed as a narrator was someone who had had a five minute briefing on how to read.
It's the sort of attention to detail that one hopes is present in the engineering and QA departments, because it's woefully absent in marketing.
Bring back Kai, all is forgiven.
