Too much? The distortion in the horizon clearly needed fixing, but do you think the rest is a bit excessive?

surly it can't be that hard....
and don't give us any crap about "making sure it works" just look at the specs on that thing...It'll get much better reviews than anything pentax makes.......

hehehehe!!!!
It is funny... but can you imagine the problem the early discoverers of the problem would have had, getting themselves believed?

They would have had accusations of bad technique, pixel peeping, expecting the impossible, at the very least.

At least Canon seems to have acknowledged the problem.

We did the low level one, hence the different perspective from yours.

Looks like Melbourn, that is the train station with the 'hexa-dome' roof.
Correct!!

Melbourne it is. And the long orange building (it really is orange, too) with the dome is indeed Flinders Street Station.

You taking a trip along the great ocean road?
We did. It was beautiful - there'll be a few more photos eventually when I get a chance to fish the decent ones out of the 1100 I took in the four weeks we were out there.

Didn't have time for Phillip Island, sadly. Need to go back.

There's a little noise as you'd expect at ISO 800, but you can't have everything. There's a ton more detail in the full size version.

If the K10D was the size of a Super A, then maybe I would stop procrastinating and go digital
I wouldn't let that hold you back.

I went from an ME Super (which I'd had since the late 80s) straight to the K10D, and the shock was only momentary.

Now when I pick up the ME Super, it seems small, not the K10D that seems big.

There is a classified ad section on this site.
So there is. I hadn't noticed it until you mentioned it.

It's not a terribly appealing format though, is it? And not exactly made any more so as a selling mechanism by the fact that many of the ads on it are many months old, and some well over a year old.

We have quite a few informal 'for sale' threads here - is it worth having a separate forum area for them?

I do have a vested interest - I have a few items to sell and it would be nice to avoid the eBay and PayPal fees.

I was looking for flash brackets and grips and things - bought this on eBay for three quid, and I'm using it until I find something better. It has tripod connectors top and bottom, so does the job Ok.

But the trigger operates something inside, visible through the hole with the screw thread.

Anyone know what it really is, and what would screw into the hole?

Set the camera to manual and the aperture ring on the old lens to something other than 'A' and there you have it
Woo hoo !!!

So it does. Well done, sir.

Absolutely no excuse for not letting us have it properly in a firmware update then.
