Sorry. The first time I posted the link, it didn't work. Clicked it in preview and nothing happened.

I have tried submitting a report on this, but have had no response.

If there IS a way to delete a gallery photo, it is not obvious. If anybody knows of a way, could they please tell me.

There are currently 43 pages of gallery photos, many of rather indifferent quality. I'm not quite sure what the point of it is.
Well I just managed to delete my Red Arrows photo easily enough. I went to my portfolio, selected the photo, and there was a 'Delete' link.

The cameras working fine Chris but just thought to get the best out of it then these upgrades will do that.
I tend to think the same, myself.

There's no question then - take a deep breath, and do it! The advice about fresh batteries is important though. Now that you know what firmware is, you can probably see that it's very important for the upgrade process not to be interrupted - else it'll end up with half a program inside it.

And since it's the previous version of the firmware that controls its own replacement, if it gets corrupted and therefore no longer works, neither will the camera, and worse, you can't have another go without sending the camera in.

But really, it's not hard if you read and follow the instructions carefully. Clarify any of them that you don't understand first.

Good luck

Thanks guys I will check out a bit hesitant to be honest.
Well if you aren't having problems with the camera, and you don't need any of the fixes or new features the latest firmware introduces, there's no need to update it

If so can you tell me how, sorry if I have got this wrong but this is all new to me.
Assuming you still have the K100D, the firmware and instructions are available here.

The instructions look complicated, but they really aren't.

Follow them through, carefully and precisely, and you'll be surprised how straightforward it turns out to be.

What seems odd to me is that anyone is moaning about it!
Indeed.

To begrudge the 34p more than the cost of the stamp is completely beyond my understanding.

I don't sell as a business but I put in an estimate of postal charges that inlcudes a bit of headroom for the packaging and printed lables I have to buy. And indeed it costs real money to drive over to the Post Office and a small amount of headroom is reasonable and allowed under eBay rules.

I also estimate postage, otherwise the workload doubles. Now I pack and send. If postage was more exactly done I would have tp pack things, go and have them weighed, then invoice and wait for payment and then go back to actually send them. I haven't got time for all that messing about.

Now if I over-estimate I just send a partial refund, unless it's trivial. This tends to surprise people because I don't mention it, and it's a nice surprise! If I under-estimate I just absorb the error because generally I don't think buyers care too much about that!
I think John's got it exactly right.

Hi Also will it takes sdhc cards?

Samsung, like Pentax, make the manual available for download.

It's here - get your head round it while you're waiting for the camera to arrive and you'll save yourself a lot more time after you have it

p19 for this question.
