Several people here have a K20D or GX20, but not many have come from Sony. Feel free to ask us about your camera, then (once you are familiar with it) tell us how it compares with the Sony.

Any good branded card. They are cheap enough these days not to be tempted by ultra-cheap ones of unknown reliability.
I would use more smaller cards, say 1 or 2GB, rather than one large capacity card. The logic of this is that if a card does fail then fewer images are lost in one go. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

Normally I'd agree with John on the 1-2 Gb card, but, given the size of the files from the K20D/GX-20, if you shoot RAW a 4 Gb may be better.
I'm new to the K20D so haven't yet used it in anger, but I have a feeling that 4Gb is the way to go with it.

I agree with that. If you are using 1 and 2Gb, you spend more time changing cards than taking pictures.

That's definately my experience with the K20D! Shooting Raw & Jpeg can mean 22-23mb a shot for example! I used 4 gig class 6 SDHC cards, however I only get approx 170ish RAW images on that. Whilst shooting Billy Idol a couple of weeks ago I dropepd my card in the pit, heart in mouth moment, I found it under another togs foot!!!
So I have now invested in an 8 gig card, I use class 6 cards because of the write speed, when shooting gigs every 2nd counts between that moment of glory & moment of oh bugger it
