Hi Dan,

I use the very popular Firefox extension NoScript which prevents this type of thing running automatically - it's not an issue with the script you're using

It does look nice within the context of your site

It worked fine for me (once I'd allowed it to run in the browser). The picture is wonderful.

But, I don't know, it's a bit of a gimmick to me and I would think it might detract from the great photography that you produce. Personally, in this age of fast internet connections, I'd rather simply have a separate link to the larger image from the scaled down one. Having used the web since its inception, it seems to me the more complicated a site becomes with the latest add-ins, the less I want to view it. Another example for me, is flash-only sites which I simply leave immediately.

Does the Samsung GX10 also produce uncompressed DNG files?
Yes, it does (and JPEG). It doesn't produce PEF files, though.

This is as good as I could get the second day out with the lens. Remember these are on a monopod and I'm still getting used to it, and I've only been at this DSLR stuff just over 6 months :

Hi Dan,

Those shots are simply stunning. I now have something to aspire to - well done.

Me, I'd like the Sigma 500mm F4.5 Met someone today who had it on a Nikon who said he uses it wide-open all the time and it's very sharp. I can dream

I'm enjoying manual focus. In fact, I'm preferring it to auto-focus on some of my lenses and find my focus hit rate is getting better for using it more often.

I got a P/KA adaptall adapter for the lens which provides auto exposure settings without problems, so long as I get the fiddly tab bits correctly lined up

It's a fun lens to use and I've had a few people come up and ask about it as it's such a huge thing. Picked it up for ~£350 on fleabay (I believe it went for £1500 in its day). I've just got to practice my manual focusing skilles, but with that wide f2.8 at 300mm it's stunningly clear and sharp in the viewfinder.
