Pushed the boat out yesterday and bought a couple of K1`s. Managed a bit of a deal with the supplier and with meagre pay-out from insurance it was about the same price as last week.

I like the option of a moveable screen as I always find it useful on my NX300`s. Then again I prefer to have the LCD display on top too. Must admit to liking the K3 IQ and AF. A big improvement on the K5. I can`t wait too long as it`s hols in a couple of weeks.

Off to WEX tomorrow, they still have K3ii at a sensible price but still in a quandary. Maybe put K30 in part ex plus the insurance for a K1.

Thanks for all the info folks. I think the answer came earlier today with a price hike on the K1 to just shy of £2k. Crazy when I could have bought one last week for £1599. It was waiting for the insurance that stuffed me. £400 for a K5, K3, 2 batteries , an 18-55 and 3 s d cards. So much for travel insurance.

Insurance company a bit of a joke. I use mainly on wildlife so being able to crop with the DA*300 or Sigma 150-500 is a plus for the K1 I guess.

Bit of a quandary at the moment. I need to replace a K3 body that didn`t really like a dip in the ocean. I see that the K3ii is probably up for replacement fairly soon but can`t find anything about the K1. So, the question is, is it worth pushing out on the K1 or not?

I came across the "S" and couldn`t believe the current price which is why I bought the 6. It did however nearly become a paperweight though. I snagged the strap and pulled it from the shelf to the floor 3 feet below. Luckily it`s a good thick carpet. Trouble was It wouldn`t autofocus so that`s that I thought. Then I saw the focus switch on MF! Relief.

The K1`s that MAK & I bought yesterday have a groove machined into the prism housing as did the demo one in the store.
Be interested to know if this is a recent change. Anyone with an early K1 noticed if theirs has this groove.
