Just a simple straight swap for my Tamron AF 28-75mm Macro XR Di SP f/2.8.
I'm looking for it's little brother, the Tamron AF 17-50mm XR Di SP f/2.8.
Bought it in Feb 2011 brand new from Microglobe. No problems with it whatsoever, I want to swap merely because I've found that I needed the wider angle on many occasions, and rarely needed the 75mm zoom!
I'd prefer a face-to-face exchange so that we both get a chance to inspect the respective lenses. I live in London and don't mind travelling anywhere within it's borders.
Thanks,
Clement

I recently found this photo linked on digital-photography-school and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how I am able to take shots like this?
i.e. how is it the ground and leaves are motion-blurred yet the road ahead and building in the distance appear much sharper?
what settings would i need to adjust on my K-x (if it's even possible on the K-x...)?
I'm dying to know because I LOVE the effect!

Capable of f2.8 throughout the focal range it's sharp, focuses fairly quickly and produces just enough bokeh when you want that extra added effect.
Sure, it's not for everyone's taste with a minimum range of 28mm (some people will want a wider angle such as the Sigma offers) but so far as my general walk-around lens it's brilliant.
Highly recommend for anyone who has been looking for a general walk-around lens and isn't sure which one to get!

The only two I really know of is the Pentax FA 50mm F1.4 and the Sigma 30mm F1.4, so if anyone has something else that meets the specification mentioned above then I might be interested also!
Thanks,

Just purchased myself a new Pentax K-x with 18-55mm kit lens during the January sales super chuffed with the purchase and looking to learn lots from you guys here!
Desperately after a couple of new lenses already thought (photography is so addictive once you bag a DSLR!).
Would anyone be able to recommend a couple please?
I've already got my eyes set on a sub-F2 lense. Most likely the Pentax FA 50mm F1.4...or the Sigma 30mm F1.4. Anyone able to shed some light on which would be better for portrait and bokeh photos?
I'm also looking for a 18mm-135mm zoom lens(or thereabouts, don't mind going a few millimetres either side if the price difference and image quality is worth it!), could anyone recommend one which is around the £200 mark?
Again, thanks for reading and looking forward to getting familiar with the regulars on the forum!
