I've no idea how you could possibly get these in focus! Its a special skill thats for sure ..... I also think the movement of the wings is excellent, so the shutter speed is really well judged. Impressive indeed!agreed

HI Jak, the new lens weighs over a pound, that is a lot of weight to carry through nyc with the K-3II body. My goal was to leave the bag at home so to speak and have an all around lens for street and architecture. I was at B&H over the weekend and this is where I picked this one up. I'm going to really check out the 16-85 and possibly take this one back.

So, I decided to sell the trusty K50 and the 2 kit lenses as a bundle to a friend, (I really don't want to sell it). So I went out and bought a Sigma 17-50 2.8 lens this weekend to replace my kit lens. I don't think the image quality is really any better! Most of my city shots are with that 18-55 or my 50mm. The 24-70 isn't available here yet. Could it be me? Does it take some getting used to?

Really nice images, I also like the boat in the cave. I'm seriously thinking about the 18-135 or the 18-270. I'm sick and tired of changing lenses when I'm out and about. I need one go-to lens for architecture and street shots, has anyone tried the 18-270?

Hi Dale welcome to the forum and the Pentax family! I'm also new to the DSLR group also and all I can suggest is to get out and use it. Put it on Auto mode to start and the camera will teach you the rest. For the first 3 months I kept mine on auto and have gradually learned what some of the buttons are for. I can't wait to see some of your images!!
