Street kids....

Stopped to watch the moon rise few days back, which in in tself was rather underwhelming; ended up rolling in the dirt to snap few shots of this cute bunch. Mostly with the old FA 100mm macro at rather high iso as it was getting dark rather quickly. Bit more processing then I normally go through. Thoughts welcome

Great set. The background lights, very harsh in a couple add to the tale of the feral cats life.

Number 2/3/6 for me please.

The second one is lovely - but so are the others.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Looks as though they need a feed, nice subject matter and some lovely shots.
C&C welcome.

Thank you very much everyone for your kind comments. They did look like they need some feeding. It gets better for street cats here after the summer when more people go for walks. Still a bit on the hot side atm. We went back yesterday with supplies On the other hand, you don't want to do it to often as they won't survive just counting on humans. Plenty of rats to go around.

Cheers!

Cheers Gareth. I could not decide weather to keep them or crop them out initially. But having looked at both side by side, I find the lights, as out of place as they are, give the scene some context though I may be completely wrong lol. I shall look again when I am less tired! Thank you

What an interesting and imaginative set of images done in tricky lighting conditions. There's some good poses among them, Urban wildlife photography, perhaps a new category has been discovered.
I have the impression these are all very young cats, perhaps the life span of feral cats is very short.
Keep up the twilight world of photography Mags.

Your images are so cute. I really like them so much. can you tell me where you took it. I am very attracted by rock, water and waves on your posts. Nature makes me feel be small and want to get it already. Thank you for your images. Wish your talent will be more shined.

I believe the category already exists though it did not even cross my mind to place those in it! Thank you very much for the encouraging words, they mean a lot. Much appreciated.

No, don't!
It's your image and you chose to keep it in so it's the right call, you wasn't wrong and there's no need to revisit it! Was just me thinking out aloud!
