Nope, i couldnt find it either. Is this repeatable with the lens and settings the same?
Perhaps a one-off glitch with the SR ?

well that would scary me, btw the setting was f/8.0, 1/250. I have another couple of photos of the same series at the same location with the same problem. On other location instead was very sharp. My wife told me I was just too excited

The focus is perhaps on the cheek rather than on the eye, in other words a bit closer than it should be to the camera position. It's a nice shot though, so maybe you could do it again, locking the focus point firmly on the nearest eye. Then a bit of sharpening in Photoshop and it should look very good.

Looks like a crap lens or it could be very slight camera shake.
The focus is OK especially at f/8 on 88mm. It's actually on the near shoulder, but the wall isn't sharp anywhere and it should be.
Do some tests on just the wall.

it's the DFA 28-105! I have super sharp photos taken with it, even on that day. This luckily was just a session test, and I am not going to use that lens for the real photoshoot, but if it's a problem with the camera SR, it would piss me off

All I see is a pair of jumping jean clad legs, no eyes and the cheeks I suspect are not those being referred to by others. Then something about ad free browsing. Obviously I'm seeing something different to everyone else. Do I need to subscribe to flikr to view it now?

Don't forget models move as well as cameras and sometimes even the slightest variation in distance can make a shot softer. Just take lots of images to make sure one is spot on.

of course, but we are talking about f/8 here and 1/250.

Ah right, not this then:

I agree if you pixel peep the image is slightly not sharp, though nothing serious. At a normal viewing distance you'd never notice. To me the ear looks to be the sharpest point. If you've pre-focused it could be accounted for by a very slight movement of yourself backwards. Possibly just an inch. Have you checked the lens for front/back focussing on the K-1? (I'm never quite sure which is which!)
PS I never look forward to browsing on Flikr of late. It used to be OK.

well then I have to post the images that are actually sharp. The difference is stunning. I like the new Flickr interface, but the community is worthless now.
