No idea what PPG is.

I shoot in DNG and catalogue and process in Lightroom
sorry, it's supposed to be PPL Pentax Photo Laboratory.

i think the software has not followed up the development of K-5. some in camera filters is unavailable. i also suspect that's the reason why i could not get as much details as K20d

the compliments for K-5 are all over the internet. i have been owning one of this for a couple of months and sold my K20D about a month after having my K-5. some my comments on K-5( you may disagree)

The improvement on focusing is massive; well control noise on high ISO, ISO3200 is totally usable.

However,

the image quality is not as good as K20D. i shoot raw nearly 100%, K20D maybe not good at ISO, but produce very smooth color transition, captures more details, great potential in raw. i think the sensor of K20d has deeper color depth, which has not been tested by any authority. when i process the K20d raw, i could recover the details about 2 EV, but it's probably 1 EV for K-5. i have a strong suspicion that the raw file of K-5 has been heavily processed, just like a pre-JPEG, very little potential for post-process.

Has anyone got similar experience?
Tend to agree with low ISO (sub 400) shots. Colours from the K20D in RAW just seem a bit richer / warmer. The K-5 is slightly colder, more digital. Even now I still think the K20D is a better landscape camera and it rarely clips highlights like the K-5 will do if you're not paying attention.
Overall though the K-5 blows the K20D away, faster, smaller, way better at available light photography.
i think i should make this clear. my dislike is on the side of landscape. i have not got my favorite Pentax green from my K-5, however, the skin tone from K-5 is much pleasant than K-20D. K20d exposure tends to be under, but K-5 is quite over. if you blow the details in the highlight, i can only recover about 1-2 EV. i think i may benefit from the K20d's underexposure. if you zoom in 100% or more, you may find the details of K20d's are more than K-5. K-5's image is quite smooth, which is good for portrait, but for landscape, i may favor K20d. i do not want to be too fussy about this, but i would like to prove this if you could have some spare time
