I had exactly the same issue with the the Jessops 300AFDP, mine works fine with the k10 bus cannot cope on the K30.

I don't think it is a dud.

Thanks

Paul

I really should take more notes of what I am photographing.

You can take pictures in Harry Potter world, but there are some rooms where you cannot.

Low light might be an issue so flsh would help, I took my K30 and there was one area that the AF was struggling, I heard somebody behind me cursing at the same problem looked round and he was also using a K30.

Quite a few photo opportunities and if you have some fast glass I would pack that but you can get away with a Kit lens, I took the 16-45 and was happy.

I see you are just down the road from me, we need an Essex branch.

A few shots from a day out at Paradise park, nice place, had a great day and saw some unusual animals though could not get shots of all of them.

C&C welcome

I don't know if it will be helpful to you but we had a food photography competition at my club recently, it was judged by Wendy Sweetser and Tony Robins, both food industry stylists and photographers, Wendy's advice on food photogpahy was....

"Wendy advised that images of food have to compensate for not having the immediate appeal of smell and taste, so have to 'leap off the page', to be appetising to the viewer."

Perhaps they could judge 301 with a designated Pentax User judging 300.

There are some nice images there, my favorite is number 7.

Keep it up.
