I think that is being sold by SRS. If you do buy they will probably ship free as you are a forum member.

Thanks to Loskeran who kindly sold me his mint 50-200, I will be able to answer my own question! Initial impressions are encouraging. Cheers for the replies.

Shim,

As a glass wearer, I have no problem using specs if the eye-relief is correct. Just because the binos have rubber eye cups or twist up/twist down eyepieces does not in itself guarantee a good view. I need to be able to get my glasses as close as possible to the eyepieces. Perhaps you've never tried using binos with good eye-relief!

Infact on my K10, I find the eye-relief very acceptable with specs on and find the data easy enough to read.

These look good.
The eye relief quoted is too low for glass wearers. You need a minimum of 15mm and ideally 17/18mm.

It could be worth you downloading this K20 E-book for $5. I have the K10 book and it is very useful as an introduction and certainly much better than the Pentax manual. I'm sure it will answer many of your questions.

Thanks for that Stefan. E-Bay has shed loads of Tamron 70-300s presently so I doubt I would get very much for it. Infact, I only paid £60 for it including delivery. I also like having the extra reach of the Tamron. I note your comments on the 55-300!

Any other observations on the 50-200?

I should have said that Warehouse Express who are selling these binos are a very good company to deal with in my experience.

These Nikon 8x36s are a superb buy. I am a keen birdwatcher and use Leica 7x42s but many birdwatchers have these as a second pair to keep in the car etc. They used to retail at £100. Don't be fooled by the low price, they are an absolute steal at £59. See this link:
