I think that is being sold by SRS. If you do buy they will probably ship free as you are a forum member.

If it's a web order, quote your username in the comments box and they will deduct the shipping.

If you want to use this for landscapes you may find 28mm is not wide enough. Can you stretch to an 18-200?

The two kit lenses 18-55mm and 50-200mm would be better for someone on a budget. Both good lenses, although the 18-55mm can vary, so try to stick with the Mk2 version.

I have the 18-55mm kit lens, but don't think it stretches to what I want.

The other extremely competitively priced alternative to adding the 50-200 is the Tamron 70-300 which you can pick up new for £75 at SRS. If you really wanted to go light you could look at investing in a bridge camera - they will never be as good as an SLR but there are some great thing out there. The X70 has an effective range of 26mm to 624mm, 12megapixels and just 400g (not much more than the Tamron lens)!

Thanks, I did have a bridge camera, and sold it to help buy this pentax camera. I wasn't really impress with it,apart from using the view angle, which was great, in that I didn't have to get on the floor to get some low angle shots.

Greynolds - I also started off with a bridge (Fuji 9600). This is a good camera, but at the end of the day it's a glorified compact because you can't get around the sensor side. So all the stuff we like doing with dof etc. just doesn't happen. And noise! And evf...etc....etc...

There's one on a well known auction site currently for a BIN of £40. I think it may be an earlier model which could date it to 1992 I guess?

So it looks like if I buy off ebay, I don't get p/p free. But another email said:
