Nicked from a post on Pentaxforums .. I was concerned that the high ISO shots were going to be better on this camera than the K-7.
As the K20D and K-7 are similar there are plenty of users on here that should be able to give an opinion.

I have decided to sell all my SDM lenses as I hardly have been using them. I am looking for a Pentax Macro 200mm so if anyone has one and wants to make a deal I am open to negotiations.
If interested in buying the lenses following are the prices.
DA*300mm £900
DA*60-250mm £900
DA*50-135mm £600
Pentax 1.7x Adapter £340
Tamron 1.4x AF TC, works with SDM lenses,
All prices above plus Postage, with insurance. Will ship to Europe if anyone interested.
Lenses are all in absolute mint condition. DA*300mm bought in March, DA*60-250 bought in May and DA*50-35 bought in July. All include original boxes and paperwork
Will be uploading some images tomorrow if anyone interested.
Thanks
Amin
EDIT: I will be listing them on ebay by the end of the week if they are still not sold here. Thanks
I commend your level headedness though, if you're not using them and they don't suit you style and you're confident it won't change much then why keep them ?
Anyway, do you still have the tamron TC and how much are you looking for for it please - I didn't see a price ?

Digital Asset Management or......how do you find your "bleeping" pictures.
I was wondering....,which of all the members is into using a DAM.
And if so, what are you using. Do you see the benefits of using a DAM or do you think you can do without it. Organizing, Key-wording,Rating.
Is it useful for every type of photographer, or maybe something for wedding and stock photographers only. Pro's and con's. Suggestions.
Please give me your thoughts on the subject.
Thanks in advance,
Martin.
I looked into this a while ago after wondering how on earth I was going to keep track of my ever growing no. of pics, and after hunting around decided on photools iMatch. Small company but active user forum and the developer isn't afraid to answer queries himself.
I find the iMatch dynamic category approach very useful and I can find things pretty quickly, IMHO it does help reduce the organisation effort and you can easily restructure your approach if you wish. You can do your file management from within iMatch, and because of the categories approach you're not straightjacketed by the physical organisation of image files within windows folders. Batch file renaming is pretty straightforward.
one advantage is that you can keep small cached versions of you pics in it and then continue working on the database even if the pics are on DVD or another machine, which I like. You can also easily copy the database from PC to laptop and add pics whilst on holiday or on location for example.
I've got about 6000 images loaded up and it's not slowing down.
drag and drop from iMatch into silkypix for editing is a doddle.
I haven't decided on my best approach to keywording yet but that's a personal thing, not something to do with the tool.
The database querying is pretty powerful, just specify the filter you want, or just drag categories into a query builder, you can generate webpages with it too which I like. There's even a 'find images like' feature (including finding pics from a hand-drawn sketch - which more for fun than serious use I think !!)
There is no built in versioning support, however some users have set up some scripts to do this, based on using sensibly structured image filenames. The user forum can assist you I'm sure.
My feeling is that to get the best out of it some IT or software or database familiarity is an advantage, but it's not essential.
Like most DAM tools I've looked at you do need to put some thought into how you want to use it, probably best to set up a small test database, experiment and play with that before loading all your images in !!
worth a look IMO :- http://www.photools.com/imoverview.php

Try here.....from 'cheap cheap' all the way up. I got a background stand from here & it does the job for me - in a space previously occupied by a 'study'.
I also purchased a single stand light.....they accidentally sent two - and only charged for one! - double cheap

I phoned the contact us number on the website, gave them the product code and they told me what stores they were in.
I tried that and all they could come up with was "it's out of stock" ??!!! then gave me an 0845# for my local branch who were unable to locate one

Are you using normal battery flashguns? If you are, remember that they are much lighter than studio flash and you can improvise a lot more.
Microphone stands are cheap, got a couple of boom mike stands in Lidl supermarket, I think they were about £7.00 each! Most flashguns and the cube slaves can be bolted to home made brackets using 1/4" Whitworth screw threads.
Reflectors and the like are all around us. White and coloured card, silver radiator foil from B&Q. Car sunshades come in silver and gold foil, with white on the back. Check out your local Pound shop for white poly decorating sheets for defuser and reflector material. Also good for sets of spring clips to hold all this material in place. Bits of polystyrene for reflectors. Garden centre for that weed control fabric as matt black 'reflector'.
Just a few ideas but ingenuity is the key.

Don't know how much you're looking to spend, what sort of setup you're looking for, and what you already have but I'm sorely tempted by the twin 300W setup here:

hmmm, I have thought about this type of thing, but to be honest I doubt I would use it again ! My preference is to spend about 1/10th of this amount and get my head round basic lighting principles and balance of ambient light to flash. The other point is that the largest space I have available as a 'studio' is in our living room, so it's not easily available - it can be done but it's a hassle

I thought I had begun to suss this out but, after about 500 pictures taken on a holiday in the states, I am back to square 1. Perhaps someone can help me.
I have usually used the AWB setting on my K10D and most pictures ('snaps') look OK - natch, I suppose.
But, when I was photographing Whales off a boat, off Maine, the pictures were all far too blue. (Using RAW, Btw)
