What mount is this??

I recieved an E-mail from a friend of a friend who said he had a Bigma for sale for $500. I was a little suspicious and i already have one but decided to E-mail him back and ask him what mount it was.?

He said, Quote: Its universal and will fit any digital camera

I replied thats impossible and could he send me a pic of the rear of the lens.

This is what he sent He didn't even take the rear lens cap off



He then told me its a refurbished lens and in mint condition.
I asked why it was refurbished and he backs up and then tells me its second hand and not refurbished. I told him to forget it

must be one of those "Screw-U" mount, "Super" deals. Shipping and handling "X-tra". Expect delivery in rear.javascript:emoticon('')

I have never seen that type of rear lens cap before, maybe it is a super duper universal mount. "Penikcanon"

It's a Konica Minolta mount (99% sure of it.) Will fit Sony Alpha (you could of course go to the dark side )

Mmmmmm, on the other hand, with that kind of friends, you don't need enemies anymore.

He couldve at least taken a photo that was properly in focus, I can barely read the words on the barrel of the lens because of camera shake

After what i went through with him it was obvious he didn't know one end of a camera from another, so i won't hold that against him.

There are a few givaways:

first of all: the red speck on the barrel: Sigma uses (used?) that only for K/M mount. The position is exactly 90° CCW - that's is K/M only too...

Second: the cap on the lens has the shape of an original KM mount.

Third: there is no diafragm ring, which means: no Pentax, no Nikon, and to be a Canon the fitting would have been a lot bigger (so: no P/C/N ==> Sigma or K/M mount...)
