Here is where the railway workers used to live. There's a blocked up door within the arch on the left which is now blocked up. This is where the cabbie or coachman would have entered the house.

This is a doorway into the unused part of Salisbury railway station, staff don't like to go to this part if they can help it. My friend who works here as a guard says its creepy, she says she feels like she's being 'watched'. Apparently this was one of the ealriest parts of the station to be built.

Apparently there was an accident here, the first one before the 1906 milk and boat train accident which is more covered. Figures have been witnessed standing on the platform when its dark, waiting for a train that will never turn up. It's no wonder people hate coming here.

This was the old waiting rooms next door (now the railway social club)

This old post is where the omnibuses taking passengers to and from the station into the city and back, would be tied. This was long before Henry Fords Invention of the motor car. I wonder what it would tell me, I'd probably freak out because I had never seen a talking post before!

Passengers would come up some stone steps from the street below to the waiting rooms. I can't take a picture of them from below, as its been boarded up. I'll try from up top next time.

Known as the London, passengers from afar would stay here after getting off or waitng to board the trains. Now a resturant, its seen a lot of history. The houses down the road towards the left were built for the railway workers, and their families.

Hows this to bring back memories? This is the only surviving coal bunker left now, that I'm aware of anyway. Built in the day before central heating, the coal went into the top and you collected it from the bottom. Just got to find an original outside toilet block now. Thanks for looking.
Har har!

Can you advise please?
