No problem to ship to the Netherlands!

I played with a 60-250 about 4 months ago so I hope that January 09 is going to happen....
Great to hear that Chris!
As far as I know the 55 is also due to that date, right?

There is a lot coming next year
4 new lenses, a ring flash and maybe~ hopefully the anoucement of a K30D.
Might be the reason that they arent producing new ones anymore because they want to clear stocks before the K300D would come and that the K-M would take away most of the sales from the K200D.

SRP - £499 - this is the suggested retail and will be discounted

60-250 is on course for January as well.....

Hope this helps,
Thank you Chris,
it will be discounted here as well but they can't come down to your price probable.
You do ship to the Netherlands right?

you say January, but forgot to add the year! Should we guess at 2010?
On photokonika they had a working 60-250 but they had only a dummy of the 55
so I think it's really coming soon... hopefully

Chris,

Pentax Benelux had an advice price for the DA* 55mm (€650, ~£550)
Would you be so friendly to ask for the advice price for the new Pentax lenses as well?
Since that the pound stands so low it might be tempting to order one from you

It's the other way around Matt, the K100's have IS and the K110 doesn't.

You should go for the K100D super if you want a K100D since that's the only one that support the new SDM lenses.

The price difrence between a K100D and a K200D is a bit more then £50 with the cashback. So get a K200D for the weather sealing since the sensor in the K200D is also very good, it's the same as in the K10D and it's a veteran among Pentax.

i may upgrade the body to the K20d
Hi Matt,
if you are planning to upgrade to a K20D in the future the K10D would be a better choice since the way both cameras handles is virtually the same.
It cost a bit more now since the cashback Pentax is giving on the K200D but you will feel right at home from day one with a K20D if you've had a K10D. If you go from K200D to a K20D you'll need to learn how to use it.

There is a recent topic about this so go and read it link

Pardon my french Stefan but the K10D is a Semi-Pro camera
Well okay Semi-Pro sounds much better but it's basicly the same right.
I just used advanced ametuer since I've one too and calling it a Semi-Pro in my hands just didn't seem right

Forgot to mention, as a new user the K10d could be a bit daunting, the K200d is aimed at just this level.
Yes it is but its a camera you can grow further into.
The K10D was my first DSLR and I've used it a lot in Av mode to get used to it. Modes on the K200D like; Picture (Portrait, Landscape, Macro, Action, Night Scene Portrait, Standard Flash-Off), Scene (Night Scene, Surf & Snow, Food, Sunset, Kids, Pet, Candlelight, Museum) aren't really that usefull to my opinion if you are or want to get serious with photography. I don't believe that these modes are used much by the forum members.

The K10D like any other advanced ametuer camera isn't simple and not very forgiving so it takes time and effort before you get you first good shots from it. The first month you will surely swear at it a lot and at yourself when you see the photos back but you will learn a lot more from those then from bad photos taken when it was on a complete automode.

After 5 moths I started to try manual mode and then you know that your very glad you've those 2 controll wheels and a prisma as a viewfinder if you use manual focus. Most of my photos taken the first couple of weeks were also very bad but you learn alot from your mistakes and you get to know what's behind the photo.

You can surely go as deep with a K200D as with a K10D but the deeper you go, the more you will be in menus with the K200D and the more you will be wanting the extra control buttons on the K10D.
It's for you to decide how far you want to go and how much effort you want to put into it because the K200D will be easier in the begining.

Edit: Fixed the quote

Thanks a lot Hefty,
I've never bought anything from ebay before and I just invested in a Cokin system.
I need to settle down the expense a bit but it's good to know they aren't that rare and expensive.
Will surely keep my eye open for them!

The second (and I think even better) option would be a Zeiss (CZJ) Flektogon 35/f2.4.
Zeis sounds always good, how hard are they to get with a B Mount. Do you see one of them monthly or is it much longer then that?

Hi Tyr,
the 28/2,8 is good avaible secondhand here, so it was my first choice before you came along with your vignette.
Was that on an analogue system, I'm using digital and I'm hoping that the smaller sensor will crop away (most of) the vignette. I didn't had noticeable problem with vignette with my combination.

I've readed some time ago about stacking lenses to get a bigger magnification with a lens. Recently I've bought the DA 40/2.8 ltd and hold that one infront of a D-FA 100/2.8 macro to see what it does.
I like the results but since the DA 40 doesn't have an aperture ring I need to keep it open manually.

I've been looking for a lens that stays open and has a 49mm filter size so that I can screw it on the 100mm macro with a coupling ring, i've found these so far (all pentax).
M 20/4
(all) 28/2.8
M,A 28/2
(all) 35/2

Does someone have experince with these lenses stacked,
I'm afraid that some will cause vignetting when used with the 100mm.
The sharpness is also quite important but since they are primes I think that isn't a problem.

Also what is the magnification with these lenses.
I believe you can calculate it like this.
lens on camera/lens stacked = magnification, so...
100/20=5x
100/28=3.6x
100/35=2.9x

Thank you very much for your time and I hope you can give me some advice

Stefan.
