Thanks for all the nice comments.
LennyBloke, you suggested a bit more foreground detail - I'd left it dark with the idea that it's going from dark to light; I've now lightened it and, yes, you're probably right! I suppose it often depends on what one wants to portray.
Here it is, shadows and clarity sliders to the right, white clipping slightly down -

I'm on a hunt to find bridges for the next meeting of my local U3A group!
The photos were exposure bracketed and processed in Lightroom.

Keep them coming! I suspect the Digital Quality Control Inspectorate won't stamp their seal of approval on '14' as it's part of a larger value!

Can someone explain this to me -

The Pentax HD 11 - 18 mm lens is £1399 in SRS shop.

It doesn't appear in their Ebay shop as far as I can see. I've looked at the lens list in descending order of price.

But - if you go to Ebay and search for "Pentax 11 - 18 mm" it appears at a price of £949 and the seller is ----- SRS

????? I don't understand!

I have a Samyang 16mm f2.2 which I've rarely used as I have the Pentax 16-85 on my camera most of the time. So I ask myself, is it worth keeping the Samyang? - it is a faster lens. I took a series of photos today of the garage wall as a comparison and I can't see much difference between the lenses (Pentax at 16mm). Definitely not any kind of scientific comparison! Perhaps someone in the forum can venture an opinion please?
(I'm tempted to sell the Samyang and put the proceeds towards the Pentax 11 -18mm).

Here are some of the pictures, at (f5.6 8 and 11), any comments gratefully received!

That could be an interesting day's photography - I can't find where you advertise it though! Can you give us any details, please?

The wheels of this locomotive have all been fitted with new tyres in the workshop of the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland. Here's a short sequence of one wheelset being put back again after profiling the tyres on the wheel lathe. The loco is LMS NCC 2-6-4T No.4.
Pentax K70 and adjustments in Lightroom.
