Sorted now redownloaded and unpacked with winzip this time got it to work but now I take a shot and its displayed in B&w on PC they are colour tho

After reading this post thought I would up grade. Wasn't worried about doing it as did when I got the camera. Don't know where I'm going wrong but each time I try all I get is the current firmware number coming up. Have tried reformating card tried differant cards but no joy :S at least nothing has changed on camera. Might have another go later.

Depends on the tripod I have a light weight manfrotto tripod which I use for a small camera and the one time I tried my "big" camera on it it did the same as wasn't made for use with a heavier camera lens combo. My big manfrotto tripod was in the boot of the car. My lighter tripod has a built in ball head which wouldn't take the weight. So just make sure tripod and head is the right one for the job. You dont need to buy the most expensive just check the weight it will take.

Ive had mine since just before xmas but only had chance to take it out a couple of times and have been pleasantly surprised. Was looking for the K mount adapter but saw a 110 adaptor on sale so sent for that instead will be good to get the use out of these lenes again

Seriously though how was the lens attached to the tripod? May seem a daft question to many I thought these lens support thingys were only available on the really long lens. I know the lens is long and heavy compared with the little Q.
