Thanks, Jacqui. Think I am going to do the same, but hold on to my K200 if I can as a spare, or one to train younger members of the family on..or perhaps that should be the K1000 to start with, like me!

Slightly off topic (sorry), Jacqui, but how does the K20D compare to the K200? Am very close to buying a K20 in the next day or so and just wondered!

Many thanks, Dr O. Lens arrived safely today, in immaculate condition and exactly as described. Thanks for your patience and a trouble-free transaction!

Can't wait to get out & about with it, if it would just stop raining!

Bargain. I have one of these that came with the K1000 I was given for my 14th birthday! I like it - it's a nice portrait lens and works well with extension tubes, as well a reversing mount that I have as well. For a fiver plus postage you can't go wrong!

Stoupaduck,

You're welcome, I have been shopping on the internet for many years and have not previously been caught out so I thought I should make members aware.
Definitely worth posting - the more people made aware of these types of thing the better!

And then, of course, there is the Pentax SMC M 100mm f4 macro to consider as well...highly regarded, I believe, and probably more affordable than either of the Sigmas (having already spent my birthday money and fighting the early developing symptoms of underfunded LBA! )
I'm considering one of these too, but they are 1:2 macro, rather than 1:1 which I believe both of the Sigmas are. Fine for flowers and dragonflies/butterflies, but not quite enough for close-up insects.
But you could always stick a tube on as well
