Does anyone have an opinion on how the Tokina compares against the 50-500? I am looking for a Tokina at the moment but a niggling voice in my head keeps whispering "Bigma". The only thing that puts me off it is it's size.

What a shame...would be lovely to see it flying again. It sounded a bit unlikely when I first heard about it. I can't imagine what it would cost to get one back to the point where it could get a certificate of airworthiness.

Does anyone have one of these they would be willing to part with for a negotiable price? It seems they have stopped making them in Pentax mount so I can't find a new one anywhere. I may also be open to persuasion on something similar. Delivery to the UK and I'll arrange shipping from there. If anyone has a Sigma 10-20 for sale (with the soft case) I am after one of those too.

Mono involves some PP work, so why not? Any idea what he's he got in mind?

Sounds interesting to me.

Just seen that the Concorde simulaor at Brooklands is still operational, so disregard my comment about the cost of recurrent training...I think I might have to have a go in that myself next time I am back in the UK......£395 for two hours flying on it sounds like a bargain to me.

I would love to see it flying again, and yes, the Vulcan project got off the ground. Lets hope that they can get Concorde flying again, but unfortunately, I have my doubts.

It would be interesting to see Oggy's thoughts on this, as you say.......

There was something on the BBC website link about Concorde flying again in a heritage capacity. I can't see it happening myself, there would be far too much money involved to get it airworthy and certificated again, and then to keep it flying would be a very expensive exercise.

But stranger things have happened...it would be wonderful to see it in the air again, and there could possibly be a market for (very expensive) flights over the North Pole or something similar. One problem anyone wanting to get it flying again could have is that it was exempt from a lot of noise regulations simply because of what it was, so that could be a major stumbling block to any commercial venture with it.

Recurrent training for pilots would be very expensive too: it means keeping a simulator operational, and the costs associated with that.

Not often you see an original wedding shot nowadays, but this is certainly one. I think the thumbs arranged more symmetrically would improve it a bit. Maybe the fingers all touching symmetrically as well, as the ones that are holding the ring are doing? I think it would work really well if the whole composition were more symmetrical. Maybe I'm just a symmetry freak!

I find something odd about her eyes, they don't quite look the same shape, the right eye also looks slightly bigger than the left. It might be the light. I think the image would look better in B+W, and perhaps with a bit more contrast.
