WTB: Tokina AT-X 840 AF-II 80-400 mm

Does anyone have one of these they would be willing to part with for a negotiable price? It seems they have stopped making them in Pentax mount so I can't find a new one anywhere. I may also be open to persuasion on something similar. Delivery to the UK and I'll arrange shipping from there. If anyone has a Sigma 10-20 for sale (with the soft case) I am after one of those too.

Good luck finding one! The Tokina is like hen's teeth. That said, I think someone did put an ad in the marketplace at Pentax Forums recently and managed to acquire one, so might be worth posting there too in order to increase your chances of tracking one down.

3 sold on ebay recently,BUT went for high prices,around £350 i think.
personally, not sure of lens quality (was sorely tempted though!)

£350 seems a bit on the low side for a well-respected lens, the AF-II that is, more so than the Mk1.

Like the FA 135 I have just bought and the FA*28-70 I am thinking of next (after the Sigma 180mm macro Nikon fit) - you have to go for it...

Thanks for that Jon, interesting review. I definitely want one, the size is what swings it for me (compared to the Bigma). There don't seem to be any available at the moment, but the first one that comes along I will snap up!

The only thing putting me off the Mk1 is that it gets a lot of poor reviews of its performance at 400mm......think I will give it a go though...
