So it does seems to load the original image full size.
So you shouldn't have any problems posting bigger sizes.

These masts are usually on top of very cold hills, so they must be really cold at the top. The UK ones are only around 310m - 390m high but situated in places like Winter Hill, Lancashire where it is cold and bleak with sometimes 6ft of snow. One at Emley Moor, Yorkshire collapsed a few years ago.

I noticed this other clip on the same page about 20% of
Americans not being able to locate the US on a World map.

You need to glue the rubber eyepiece on they screw off too
easily and get lost. That's what happened to mine. They
don't seem to do the rubber eyepieces separately.

Those KPS eyepieces are very good, I use one on my K7.
So good in fact that Mike-P sold the camera and kept the eyepiece

Now he's looking at buying the factory

'Stereo' is more acurate for all those 3d movies, cameras, TVs etc. etc. True 3d would change perspective as you move round it (like a hologram). Anybody have wone of those stereo viewer thingies which took discs when they were a kid? Can't remeber what they were called.
Viewmaster loads of them on ebay... quite good.

This one on ebay could be used with homemade stereo prints, may
even work with inkjet printers.

I still have a Stitz Stereo beamsplitter which is better than the Pentax
one because you can change the angle to suit any lens up to 300mm.

Our local charity shops/junk shops are hopeless for old cameras. I did talk to a chap who collects mechanical Nikon bodies a while ago, he reckons that they do get them but they've got a list of people who they've promised to "let you know if anything turns up".
Probably ebay dealers who will list them at 3x what
they should be

Superb shot... who would have thought that the 55-300mm
was a landscape lens

I agree with the others about the letterbox crop.

I am not sure i need to change the tripod. Camera +lens + head = 2.5 kilos. The tripod is rated at 5kg. Is this ok for using a 300mm lens ? or would i benefit from a stronger tripod ?
I don't know where they get these load figures from for tripods? I once saw an advert for a tripod with a man actually standing on it... that's probably 75kg and it still hadn't collapsed

A 5kg Gitzo tripod is going to be very strong and should handle anything a Pentax digital camera's going to throw at it. The bigger and stronger the head the better your main problem with a 300mm lens is the overturning moment and a big head will resist that better than a small head. It will also absorb energy from the shutter better. I regularly use a 300mm + 2x TC on a 5 kg Manfrotto and it works OK.

Concerning loads I often use a K20D + 300mm F* f/4.5 + TC on a Minolta table top tripod (similar to the Leica one) and it handles it OK.
