Stick it in the garden and see how long it is before it gets attacked by a real Robin.... now for some action shots

That doesn't look as bad as on the photos Sam posted. The cream paint does chip off very easy. You can probably get some car touch up paint to match.

The aperture ring might only be a missing ball bearing. A piece of masking tape or Blu-Tak will hold it for now.

The main thing is that it looks very sharp

Now you'll have to save up for a Wimberley If only you hadn't wasted all that money on Apple Macs

There's a Pentax 1000mm F11 Reflex Lens on ebay for £950 BIN in HK if you want a long lens.

Now lets see one of the people complaining about the shortage of long lenses actually go and buy it!

Like the green button in principle and it does let me use Pentax-M lenses, but it's a bit out at small apertures or lowish light. A mechanical aperture connection would be much better.
It is a mechanical aperture connection. It stops the lens down and takes the reading, then stops it down to the same point/aperture (which the camera does not know) when you take the shot. If it's wrong it must be something wrong with the lens that's preventing it from stopping down consistently, probably sticky blades. It's no different than the system used on film cameras years ago.

Just taken delivery of my "new" Super Paragon PMCII Auto 2.8 28mm Macro - doesn`t look as though it has ever been used to be honest - Ebay for £5.50 - Chinon front cap and Pentax rear cap.Amazing !! I will report quality when I get some time off from worrying about logistics for travel over next few days !!

Tony
The rear lens caps worth nearly what you paid for the lens
