There are plenty articles on the net about how to cut down a screen to fit on Pentax Digitals. Just Google.

Ricehigh did this over 2 years ago and also has a list of compatible lenses on his site.

The shot of the motorbike is taken with the famous SMC-A* 85mm/1.4 wide open one of the best lenses ever made and would look good on an Instamatic It would look the same on a crop sensor, but would be 2/3 of the size.

Well you could probably get a nice ME F to go in said box, the AF zoom might be trickier!

Really must get hold of a tidy but dead ME F to do some parts transplanting with my slightly scruffy working example.
Don't need I've still got them Just out of curiousity I've just dug them out... put batteries in and everything works OK, without any problems. The AF isn't all that slow either and for some reason knows which direction to go in, both are still in Exc+ condition, although this isn't the same MEF that came in the box, I've had about 3 of them.

I'd forgotten how good the Green in focus light was on the MEF, it's really very sensitive much better than the split screen which show it being in focus before the green light comes on.

I can't ever see me selling the lens or camera for that matter. The lens is very sharp even wide open and works well with the 1.7AF adapter. Nice to know that I've still got the complete kit.

I did buy a 35mm f/3.5 new in the early 70's.... I can't remember the box looking like that though. It may not have even been the same lens, mine may have been SMC..... very good lens for trannies.

I did put a snipe on that for £36 but it was already well above that and never went on.

I've still got the mint original boxes off my MEF and 35-70mm f/2.8 AF Zoom maybe I'd better hang onto them

I call them Sparrowheads because they have a similar mentality to a sparrow ....... when a sparrow sees someone coming out of a house 50M away it flies off so that it doesn't get eaten. Blackbirds stay and have a chat

Russell Howard did a really good sketch in the episode on Dave last week.
He said come on people get real.... just because I like to go to the Zoo and take pictures of a Rhinoceros doesn't mean I want to xxxx a Rhino

The he did a sketch of a doctor in a hospital holding some sort of scanner type probe on a lead on a pregnant womans tummy so the baby could be seen on the monitor screen..... her husband shouted out... Here what you doing?.... he's looking at out baby's willy.... Bloody Pervert

As long as the K-5 still has the small jackplug socket for a wired remote release there shouldn't be any problems. The flash hotshoe should still be the same.

It doesn't mention if it comes with a lens. If it does it's
probably cheaper than in the UK. I paid about £120 for a
Spotmatic and f/1.8 in about 1969. With the f/1.4 it would
have been about £160 (Jessops)
