Nice photographs, which would obviously look better in print form.
I like No:10 best.

Looks good If I were you I'd buy a small mirror from Poundland and put some clips on the focusing target so that it can be held flat whilst you set up the camera square to it and then removed to take the shots.

Alternatively fix a piece of removable ply to the front of the base with a notch like an airgun sight so that you can see it align with the centre of the target.

I still prefer the sepia, but the paulyrichard version is different and very good.

That's correct Matt? Makes you wonder why they removed the markings on later lenses

They are probably still trying to recoup the 5 year development costs of the OM1 and the cost of the FTL camera system that was only on the market for 7 months in 1971/2 as a stopgap between the Pen F and OM1

Any problems with the DA 55-300mm at 300 are probably due to camera shake
I rarely use it wide open, but at f/8 to f/11 it's sharp

Quite hard to MF compared to the *** 300mm lenses

To be fair, with some good reason - I've never encountered a shoddy piece of equipment from Olympus (and I've had a few bits over the years) which is more than I can say for some C&N gear I've had.
I was always a big admirer of Olympus film cameras. I had a Pen F and OM1 and OM2 along with my Pentax gear in the 70's. With Digital they seem to have a habit of making odd decisions such as using cards that no one else uses and in the case of Smartmedia a maximum capacity of 128MB I think they only have one camera body now for the expensive interchangeable lenses. (Unless they also fit the PEN).

They certainly know how to charge £61.27 for a 37mm lens cap

For new customers looking at a Pentax camera and an Olympus camera, they will think.... Pentax..... never heard of them..... Olympus.... heard of them I'll take that

I can't understand how Olympus get away with it either
It must be because they have a good trade name which people automatically think they know and trust
