Nice shots, the 55-300mm looks sharper than the Macro

What utter rubbish..... loads of silly changes just for the sake of change. i.e. moving icons about so that you can't find them. Home Icon moved from left hand side of screen to right. No-Script icon moved from bottom right to top left.

Page Tabs moved from below other bookmarks and toolbars to top of them so you can't keep proper track of what one's are open.

Gone back to v3.6.16 which still has a lot of unwelcome changes, but it's better than v4

Argh!!! The home icons still on the right and the reload icons 3/4 of the way across the page..... Looks like I'll have to download Opera...... or try Firefox 2

Nice shots.... plenty life left in that lens
The first shots on a galvanised tube which often turns blue
with older lenses....

Even the 2nd shot should be sharper it's a top lens.

Edit: Just noticed they are both 1/60th and the iSO was changed. You need at least 1/300th with a 300mm lens?
It still looks like camera shake.
Actually on APS-C it becomes more like 1/500th because of the field of view.
It depends on the user plus the SR helps. I'm happy with 1/200th and I think most would manage 1/300th. It would be very rare to need 1/500th with SR

Couple of reader reviews here

I like this quote:

"For me the weight of Nikon kit is not any issue since I work out but the size of it is very very seriously annoying , it takes some nice smiles of local people here and it always difficult to travel with it."

Scored one and a half stars (I think)
I wonder if it's anything to do with the K-5 sensor
having more pixels, although they tested the 35mm f/2.4
on the K-5 and that was OK

Very nicely captured. There was a program on the TV the other night showing some fossils of Dragonflies. They are a lot smaller nowdays, they used to have a 300mm wingspan only a few million years ago
