Superb shots Alan and I also prefer the BIF ones.
They haven't exactly got pretty faces

I've only ever used it at 500mm, although a quick test at 400mm and 300mm showed the quality was still there.

I use the shake settings that Alan uses although I did once forget to turn off the in camera, but it still worked OK.

I try to use f/8 for greater DOF and 400 to 800ISO

It will be interesting to see your comparison Bjørn against the K version.
It's also worth comparing it against the 18-55mm kit lens.

The Samyang 85mm test seems to be here link

Great shots Smeggy... I bet most of the pros didn't get
anything that good... strange protesting against the Mail
haven't read it for years, but it always seemed to be
heavily on the side of feminists to me

As Matt has said this is identical to the Pentax-A series 28mm f/2.8 which is also the same optics as the Pentax-F version. I never thought it was as good as the Pentax-A 24mm, but it didn't cost anywhere near as much.

It's much better than stuff like the Sigma II 28mm f/2.8 which some people praise.

It gets very impressive results in this test link the older versions look to be past their sell by dates

Slightly off topic the same site has a test on the Rokinon/Samyang 35mm f/1.4 on a Nikon D700 and it looks impressive link

Not very good news for anyone with the 85mm Samyang :

"The 85mm had a large focus shift when stepping down, which required it to be focused at the aperture you were shooting at"

I can't see the test page for that though.

There are quite a few photos on here of Chester.
Just search for "Chester". Bob (Snootchies) did about two/three sets.

Perhaps someone can tell you how long it takes to drive to the
zoo from the city centre, I would guess about 20 mins. Its, possibly
on your way home.

Edit: Here's one set link
.

It doesn't expire and is the best I've ever used for recovering files from Fat 32 drives. As I said before if you move any files and then delete them it recovers not only the file that you have deleted, but also the same file again from the folder that you moved it from.

There is a possibility that some of the 20 PEF's might be from an earlier session if you used that card before.

Whilst hearing about that debacle another Exam board has just announced that it's messed up for another two subjects too.

How can they manage this - something is sadly wrong
Have they been taken over by HOYA!

GetDataBack for FAT is very good. It even recovers moved files.
The demo will create a list of what's recoverable.

Pentax have always done a helicoid extension tube even on the bigger 120 film cameras. They pop up now and again on ebay.
