Very interesting set of photos.1st & last my favourites.No.4 looks like most back streets or yards and that is not a critiscism ,just that thousand of miles away is the same as 10 here. What is the significance of the hand markers ?. Regards Tony

I've used tank bag and/or top box with no apparent problems and carried a collapsible ruck sac to carry when off the bike. Guess a gorillapod would fit in a topbox. Tony

Here's a question I'd like to throw to the pack...

I love to take the camera and a couple of lenses out on a bike ride. Always easier to get to the hard to reach spots and I usually pack the camera in a pannier, not ideal and my latest steed doesn't have said bags.

Anyone got ideas for a good solution to having a fairly easy access to camera under such circs?

Currently thinking towards some sort of convenient back pack if anyone would care to share thoughts, experiences with good kit?

As per Fritzthe dog, K5 for performance..though AF could still be better, but prefer the K20D for ergonomics/bulk. Tony

I too very recently upgraded to a K5, reluctantly trading in my K20D--couldn't afford to keep it. Better build quality, top plate LCD and sensor qualities plus quieter shutter swung it for moi. I do miss the bulk and handling of the K20D, i find it difficult not to get my fingers on the K5 rear LCD. I don't regret the upgrade, cos there will always be a better spec camera around the corner! Surely its about getting the most out of what model you have and taking pictures, mind you more glass from Pentax is eagerly awaited. From a personal point of view, video is not a requirement for me- have never used it and hardly ever use live view. But, Top Marks to Pentax for producing a model that it appears everyone wants. All they need now is the K300, a Mark 2 K5 and a new Flagship model. They don't need to stretch resources and have a 12 model line up, just good cameras at each level and refine them as required.Any one looking for a good DSLR would be foolish not to consider Pentax so improved marketing from Ricoh/Pentax is a must and that will benefit all of us in the long run... I ended up with discontinued G11, viewfinder is naff but articulated screen is good. Still find compacts difficult to hold steady much prefer my K20D.Interesting comment on Helios view finder, could be worth pursuing.
