Check that the kit lens is the DA 18-55 AL WR version - this is best. I would avoid the DAL version - plastic mount and no weather sealing.

The K5 has the poorer autofocus out of the 3 options ... k50 & k5ii have an updated and improved af module.

The k50 with that kit wr lens is a heck of a lot of camera for the price. Then again the K511 is even more ... but you need to get another wide to standard lens. If you like extra size and weight plus the extra physical controls then the k511 cannot be beaten. Can you get the k511 with wr kit lens?

The k511 allows a battery grip also if you like your camera really big - k50 doesn't have this option.
