Well caught Mike. Not bad for a 200mm lens with a relatively small objective lens. Just checked online...Venus was approx 127 million miles away whist Jupiter was 536 million miles away...about 4.25x further than Venus. A bit too far for a weekend away sightseeing at the moment... regards Karlo

Absolutely fabulous image...definite POTW contender. Being able to shoot at 1/2500th second and 1600 ISO has made a big difference here. Well Done...and not even with DA*300! regards Karlo

Not sure about that one Nigel...the effect looks better in the top 2/3rds of image but don't like the bottom 1/3rd. Nice to experiment with different effects though.

How lovely, excellent and to capture the Curlew and Oyster Catcher together in flight WOW. +1 You did really well Daron and the AF performed well to lock onto the Curlew amongst all that activity. I notice a triad of 8's in the EXIF...1/800, f8.0, 800 ISO...you don't have any Chinese DNA do you...Don't the Chinese regard 888 as a very lucky number? :D

What a cracking shot...really clear, sharp and very well composed...you wouldn't have thought it had been taken through an airliner plexiglass window. Well impressed Karlo
