I am having difficulty with the focus on this lens, but love the shallow dof, so have to prefocus and wait!

Paul, I do tend to use centre spot focus, but in this image, even if all the other children are removed, I still have difficulty, and quite a few focus failures, when using this manual focus lens. I can only be sure if I check and zoom in on the lcd, as I can't rely on my eyesight when using the viewfinder.
If I was using my 55 1.4 in af I could reliably drop the spot on her eye and be sure of spot on focus, even in this type of picture.
