I am in the same boat and have found this thread to be really useful - thanks guys! I have also come to the conclusion that the Sigma 10-20mm is the best option as I too want to dabble a bit in landscape photography without breaking the bank too much whilst also expanding the range of my lenses. I have found it at quite a reasonable price on Amazon - but I still want to do a bit more research before I go for it!

Is there any reason no one has mentioned the Sigma 12-24 it seems ot have good reviews; or am I missing something?
