Don't use pTTL The first flash is the pre-flash, used for pTTL metering. As far as I know, totally normal. Does it not happen on your K20D?

As far I remember it does not happen with the K20 - on the K5 it happens with the integral flash, I take your point though as it does not seem to affect exposure.

Hello everyone I am new to the forum ...have an IQ related question between the canon60d and k5
We don't have any shops that sell pentax where I live so I can't compare the iq of it to the canon 60 d which my friend has and I played with it and liked the IQ ALOT
Personally I liked the feel and enorgomics on the 60d but read ALOT that the k5 is better
So my question is that if I have to compare both DSLR on ONLY ( jpeg iq) are they the same or one is better??one of my friends told me the pentax pic looks more yellow?! Don't know if that is correct
Can u please tell me advise on which one is better based on image quality only

You are likely to find that the Pentax images are warmer, but in fact the colour quality is one of the special things about Pentax.

However, I wouldn't worry because any differences will also depend on your computer system, monitor and how you adjust the final images. You can also change the JPEG settings in camera anyway to give you what you like.

The K5 is better. Best way to compare image quality is to check Imaging Resources 'comparometer' - the shots are taken in controlled conditions and allow a direct comparison between models.

I don't know about the K5 being yellower. But I do know that white balance and colour response can be infinitely tweaked in camera or of course in RAW software.

Sorry I am new I don't really know the rules
But felt like asking coz all the people here know what they r talking about , and I am new to the DSLR world so I am asking tons of questions to make my best choice
