I'd like to say sorry for being late with new competition. I just moved to new place with no internet

It is in the centre of the Old Town.

Take a tripod with you and allow about an hour for the inside of the cathedral

The stained glass - both old and new is amazing

I would have loved to get a group of my fellow countrymen with a towel over the shoulder ready to reserve a deckchair. But with so much snow around I didn't find any

Will this still be open for entries tomorrow? I've just had a brainwave as to a possible subject.

Ooops! Senile moment! It's Monday today isn't it??

Nope, closed last night.

But hey! We'd love to see your idea anyway

Hehe I'll take the camera along and post the shot up tomorrow. Assuming that I remember having gotten up at some ungodly hour.

I'm concerned that Mattox may not realise he's won the weekly competition. He hasn't logged on for almost a week now. Also I wonder if Szymon will be able to post commnents on all the pictures and name who got 2nd, 3rd and commended.

Ondeed, the call has already gone out. If there's no response by tomorrow, we'll look at what should be done.

It's a good idea if anyone enters a competition that they do know they'll be available in case they win!
Best regards, John

In the absence of any further feedback in the weekly competition for culture I would like to pay tribute to two pictures which really impressed me with their sheer quality, Hyram's stained glass window in St Malo Cathedral and Dr Mhuni's illuminated Buddha. I thought both these were terrific photographs.

Following on from David Trout's post. I should like to praise Malcolm Leader and David's own photographs. (They deserve a second look before they didsappear into the ether.)
I thought this was a hard theme to shoot well but these two photographs were not only technically skilled, but fully fitted the brief.
Fine efforts both which put my obscure entry to shame.

Andrew, your entry certainly wasn't obscure or put to shame by any of the others. It was a very apt commentary on modern culture.
