One perhaps feels a trip to Brum coming on to the addictive Selfridges Store.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Great subject... It can think of lots of great design icons, but it's finding them in the next few days in decent light in such a way as to make a decent photograph rather than a record snap. Still...
Best wishes,

Andrew

I'm warming to this idea. At least this time I won't require a tripod.

Would it be bad form to enter photos of my watch in two successive competitions?

Alternatively, in honour of the iPad thread, I am considering which bits of my Apple gear qualify as icons

It didn't make it into the final picture but it was used to take it - one design icon shooting another.

I had a few icons in mind but hefty has included the bloody lot in his picture. Not sure what's left now...

Meccano, paperclips, Leica M3, the Union Flag, road signs, a London Underground map, Zippo lighter... I actually started a list but had to stop when I realised I'd never cram them all in lol

Wow - Hefty's Trip 35 looks like a very nice early one. I was contemplating photographing mine and although it must be a lot newer ( 1978 ) it looks a lot more battered. I guess some more thought is needed
