Like most other people it's hard to pick my 'top' 10 films.
I'll distort the OP's request slightly and list ten of my favourites that so far no one else has mentioned.
1. Highlander (only the first and original, everything thing following it was garbage)
2. Dead End
3. Run Lola Run (Lola rennt - original German title)
4. Bubba Ho-tep
5. Salem's Lot (David Soul TV movie)
5. Kelly's Heroes
6. Midnight Run
Finally and because one of my other interests is 3D modelling and animation. I'll pick 4 very nice examples.
7. Vexille
8. Wonderful Days
9. Appleseed (Appurushîdo 2004)
10. Ark

The Usual Suspects
The Shawshank Redemption
Toy Story
The Italian Job
Fargo
Twin Town
Monty Python's Life Of Brian
Men In Black
Dogma
Amélie
Hard to limit it to just 10 though - I'm sure at a different time I'd come up with a different list

Oh my, just ten....
Well in no order.
A Clockwork Orange
Seven
Princess Mononoke
Spirited Away
Ghost in the Shell
Millennium Actress
The Place Promised in our Early Days
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
El Laberinto del Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth)
Der Untergang
I hope I threw some new films into the group, that no one named A Clockwork Orange... although it isn't a film for everyone.

Kodachrome 25 was the first film I ever used or at least the first that I remember using, with a (model name forgotten) Russian 35mm compact. This would be circa 1973-75.

Oh the reds - such reds as seem impossible today - even my current colour fav - Fuji Pro 160S can't equal it. Admittedly the great advantage to the Fuji is it doesn't use K-14. I shudder to think how expensive it would be if I had to use K-14 now...After 73 years of service Kodak Kodachrome is no more , waved goodbye to it last year. *sniff* never had the pleasure using one
Gradually getting back into film - heavily - but I don't list my kit here as it (ssssh) isn't Pentax - it's a Bronica ETRSi.
Chris
PS I ought to add my cinema film favs to the thread but I prefer the nostalgia.

1. Serenity
2. 2001
3. Blade Runner (The Final Cut)
4. Full Metal Jacket
5. Terminator
6. Dawn of The Dead (Original)
7. Dr. Strangelove
8. Withnail and I
9. Ginger Snaps Back
10. Alien
It’s hard to pick just 10 and apart from the first three not in any particular order.
Some surprising/interesting choices – seeing Bubba Ho-tep raised a smile, a funny film and it made me think about adding a Bruce Campbell/Sam Raimi film to my list – if only for the commentaries which are usually funnier than the dialogue.

I think all my favourite films have been included on other peoples lists with the exception of "This is Spinal Tap". I've seen it 100 times and it still makes me laugh.

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.
