Time to Confess ...

Welcome to the forum Steve. I suppose we'll have to think of a suitable penance now.
I confess:-
- My Pentax gear is more capable than I am of using it, but I'm getting there. Until then . . .
- I delete more photographs than I keep.
- I used to upgrade my DSLR when a new model came out, but I'm cured of that now.

Welcome Steve
Your 'confession' sounds very familiar
I also own a camera that's not a Pentax - it's a Ko..k and worse still it's a P&S

So I presume we won't be seeing any pictures from you in the gallery then - If I like it, that's good. If my family and friends like it, that's wonderful. The opinion of the internet doesn't interest me.
Welcome btw, where are you in Dorset?
I am just outside Christchurch.

I would have thought that the primary purpose of being on this forum would be to challenge your own concepts and to be open to other viewpoints. I am considered to be an old stick in the mud type but I can freely admit to getting more from this forum than I have given and to be a better snapper as a result. Knowing what is possible against what I now achieve is the motivation I have to spending so much time here.

Hi
My name is Steve and I wish to confess my photographic sins:
- I take photographs, not digital images.
- I don't care about the ultimate in resloution and sharpness, only whether they are good enough.
- I would rather take a photo that is interesting than technically perfect.
- If I like it, that's good. If my family and friends like it, that's wonderful. The opinion of the internet doesn't interest me.
- I don't replace my camera whenever a new model arrives on the scene, old friends are usually the best.
- I don't lust after lenses that are better than my technique.
- One of my cameras is not a Pentax.
I get the feeling that there might be some people around here with similar weaknesses

I mainly lust after cider and peace and quiet away from my children.
Welcome and enjoy.

I do feel you are among friends Steve. Welcome to the forum and do post some photos. Remember though, 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder' and 'one man's trash is another man's treasure'.
